I know, I had to remove it today after loosing a nut. I don't know how those two plastic fixings at the rear don't just fall out!

so its got 4 metal screws on the edges and 2 plastic ones at the back?

My Mk1 has plastic fixings all round. As long as you know what to do they are easy to remove and even easier to replace.

Yes, but those plastic fittings at the back are so dodgy looking I'm going to be checking they are still there after every trip!
Jocko - If those clips were fitted I wouldn't have any concerns but the MK3 has the most inadequate clips I've ever see (only at the back, the six others are speed nuts with self tappers)

Can you replace the plastic rear ones with any metal alternatives? The metal captive tab which you can then put a screw into and tighten up? Those plastic fittings with the lugs which expand when the plastic screw is tightened are very weak and tend to snap off.
