Honda Jazz Mk4 2020 - / Re: Winter Preparations
« Last post by JB on November 15, 2025, 11:06:29 PM »
Considering the topic, “Winter Preparations”, I offer up; stopping the mirrors from automatically “winding in”,
when locking up for the night. A good number of folks on here, have suffered malfunctions with them. Some have reported being stuck open or in a closed position, particularly in freezing weather. Having already had my N/S replaced a year ago, and seeing how my wiper blades weld themselves to the screen when icy, I feel that I will lock them in the out position, till the spring.(That’s if I can find the instruction in the manual)!

Did you find it in the manual? I think it's a good point, I've already have had a dodgy mirror replaced on my 23 reg Crosstar. I looked for the instructions too,  but couldn't find anything
Its in vehicle settings [auto fold mirrors on or off] set mine to off from day one ,if I need them folding
in I just use the button on drivers door I find it better that way, one thing I miss on the jazz is auto tilting
mirror , on my last car when I put lever into R the passenger door mirror would tilt downwards which I found
to be very useful could see the tyre next to the kerb.

Honda Jazz Mk4 2020 - / Re: Driver seat angle adjustment - do I have an issue?
« Last post by ahavoja on November 15, 2025, 10:09:20 PM »
Hi!
I have noticed that the driver's seat height adjustment has an effect on the angle of the whole seat, therefore also affecting the angle of the backrest.
If I set the driver's seat height to the lowest position, then the whole seat tilts backwards by 6° compared to having the seat height in the highest position.

If your driver's seat is set low, it might explain why the backrest of your driver's seat is unable to be as upright as the backrest of the passenger's seat, provided that both backrests are locked in the most upright angle.

The backrest angle on my Crosstar seems to be the same between the two front seats, but only if the driver's seat height is set to a certain position somewhere in the middle of the height range.

The only winter preparation I have done is:

Replace the diluted windscreen wash with neat fluid

Checked the oil

Checked the tyre pressures

Checked the wiper blades

The last three I do every couple of months anyway.

Honda Jazz Mk4 2020 - / Re: Software - Jazz's weakest part

For those who are interested: I contacted the person from the ad who updated it. From this I deduce that it is not a case of sticking the camera over it :-) (I have already read about that) - which would be wrong, because other assistants also use the camera.

He writes that "You will have to do without integrated navigation"...

I know that in the first version of the Jazz e:HEV it was possible to deactivate the navigation in a hidden menu. In the second, FL version, this is no longer possible. Or, as I am not the only one, I deduce that the navigation is already firmly connected to the speed limit.

So there are two possibilities: that he came up with some trick to (permanently) deactivate the navigation and the associated speed limit warning.
Or deactivating the GPS signal and the associated non-functioning of the navigation and the associated speed limit warning.
The second case would not be good - because other functions are connected to the GPS - e.g. e:Call.

And he replied that this is the first case where the GPS data will continue to work.
And that it is not in a hidden menu as I thought.
Of course he does not want to tell me more.
Another thing is that if you do a factory reset, then it will come back again.

Well, I decided to go for it, and hopefully I will have it tomorrow afternoon.

from inter thing
Method 1: Reprogramming using the lock/unlock button
Close all doors, the hood, and the trunk.
Press the lock button on your key fob 6 times in quick succession.
If that doesn't work, repeat the process using the unlock button 6 times.
If your car has an automatic unlocking feature, you can try this method instead: with the ignition on (but not the engine running) and the vehicle in park, press and hold the master door lock switch on the driver's door until you hear a click. Hold the switch for five more seconds to hear another click, then release. Shift the gear lever to park and turn the ignition off.

Honda Jazz Mk4 2020 - / Driver seat angle adjustment - do I have an issue?
« Last post by Mellifluous on November 15, 2025, 06:25:15 PM »
Hello  :)

I've just got a new Jazz, and had a query about the front seats, to check if I'm doing anything wrong or might have an issue.

With the front passenger seat, I can set the back really straight and pop the lever down to lock it in place.

With the driver's seat, this has less flexibility, and I can't set the back really straight, I can't actually put the lever down until the seat is angled more back, as the lever resists.

Is this standard behaviour, or is the driver seat back normally supposed to have exactly the same angle adjustment as the front passenger?
