Honda Jazz Mk2 2008-2015 / Re: Tinworm astonishment
« Last post by Keekster71 on Today at 03:25:59 PM »I noticed rust spots at the rear wheel arches so took out my Dremel and went straight through. Went to a bodyshop and the welded done new plate in, took out the caps that open the voids between the plates and sprayed done stuff there. Do see the rust re-appearing though. The road dirt and salt also collects under the plastic cover at the front of the rear wheel arch, and rusts the metal away until the cover falls off.
Mine is a 2011 hybrid

Honda Jazz Mk4 2020 - / Re: Aftermarket Duplicate Key MK4 2024
« Last post by coldstart on June 14, 2026, 10:06:48 PM »For security Honda don't release the inner workings of the key to car systemWhich sounds like yet another case of "security by obscurity"!
I've heard, that duplicating a key via the official Honda-way is a quite tedious and prolonged procedure, whereas a thirdparty device does it within seconds - go figure.
(from my understanding you were an IT professional so you know that everything eventually can be hacked - no documentation necessary)

« Last post by coldstart on June 14, 2026, 09:59:10 PM »As I have mentioned before: Honda seems to stagger the recalls in order not to overwhelm their (ever scarcer) dealerships.
We do know that the defect only manifests after quite some time (three plus years) as it involves corrosion.
So, should you happen to a pre-facelift MK4: Just wait for the official recall or talk to your dealership, if you are anxious.

« Last post by coldstart on June 14, 2026, 09:52:09 PM »Yes, I have one. Fits perfectly and also covers mirrors and side windows. It is more for frosty conditions to prevent icing up...Thank you! - I will talk to my Honda dealer and get one.
(I'm totally fed up with all these cheap sunshades which suposedly "fit even a van" and then fall literally short, because the Jazz's doorjambs aren't were they are on a normal car.)

Anyone tried this?Yes, I have one. Fits perfectly and also covers mirrors and side windows. It is more for frosty conditions to prevent icing up; I have never used it as a sun shade device.
I bought it for an Mk3 Jazz, but fits Mk4 and Civic too. Very happy with it!

« Last post by edam on June 13, 2026, 07:18:42 PM »One click forward seems to be working???
Also I have noticed that my back has more support.
I normally have to have the seats right back to get my big feet in.

I will ask a few weeks before the service, but I am not unduly worried as it appears Honda has accepted its responsibility to rectify the issue.
