Title: 2006 door speaker replacement (front & rear)
Post by: Millski88 on August 16, 2022, 02:14:26 AM
Hi all

I've tried using advanced search on the forum to find specific notes on this but haven't found anything.

I have a 2006 Honda Jazz/Fit, and I'm hoping to upgrade the door speakers (both front and rear) using the OEM head unit.

I've had the head unit out before as I installed a bluetooth dongle into the Aux connection in the back. Fairly comfortable removing the dash, door cards etc.

I have some questions though! Hoping the community might be able to point me in the right direction:
What adapters or new wiring do i need?

I've seen people suggesting the following adapters & harnesses for a 2007-2008, but in the questions on the Amazon product page (for the adapters) the seller states they only fit a 2007 or newer (mine is a 2006)

Adapters: https://www.amazon.com/Scosche-SAHC634-Speaker-Adapter-Speakers/dp/B000NWCIE6
Harnesses: https://www.amazon.com/Metra-72-7800-Speaker-Adapter-Connector/dp/B0002BEPJY

Do the front & back door cards allow for the same size, depth and adapter ring, or do I need to shop different for front vs. back?

Does anyone know what sort of power the stock head unit puts out to each of the 4 speakers?

For reference, this is what the head unit my model looks like:

Thanks so much for any insight! I've been meaning to do this for a while but never found accurate information for my model!

Cheers.
