I bought my car from a small car sales a week ago. Can I get cvt fluid directly from a Honda dealer?

You MUST buy Honda CVT fluid, and you will be able to buy it from your local Honda dealer.

I bought my CVT Fluid from my local Honda dealer :- 4ltrs = £44.00 drain plug washer £2.06 not cheap by any means but as I had no history of the oil ever being changed (although I bought the car with full service history) it was the best thing to do as I have the CVT judder once changed the judder has gone drives like a new car (I had 17934 miles from new) The oil should be changed every 2yrs well worth the expense

Hi all I have just bought a 2006 14i DSI SE. CVT it has the judder ,I have been instructed to change the oil then rev the CVT @ 300rpm for 10 seconds in each gear going through the gears but not moving .carry this out for 4 minutes ,this will burn off any scaling that is causing the judder, you then dump the contaminated new oil and put another 4 litres in. A burning smell is to be expected.
This sounds a bit harsh to me, has anyone tried this and had success without causing further damage.
Cheers
Paul.
