While out for a walk this morning, I spotted this strange car. I thought the badging on the rear said "Verte Mitsubishi", but it was tiny, and I didn't take time to read it.
As I walked to the front, I was intrigued and took a photograph so I could check out the model on DVLA. Well, that was no help. The MOT site says "Nissan Unknown", first registered in the UK in 1995, and the "mileage" is in Kilometres.
It looks like the late '50s, '60s Daimler/Jaguar. The wheel is on the right so probably a Japanese import.
Anyone any ideas of its lineage?

And a closer shot of the badge.

I will go round that way tomorrow, and if in the unlikely event it is still there I will see what it says on the rear.

Correct its Nissan Micra were popular in Japan several versions all about vintage look with modern running gear. Not my choice better off with beach buggy

I think it may be a K11 or K12 if these old grey cells of mine are still firing in unison.

There is still a Nissan Figaro (Columbo's type car) driving around this area.

Thanks culzean. That is exactly what it is. The "Viewt Mitsuoka" badge is what I mistakenly read "Verte Mitsubishi". Should have gone to Barnard Castle.

nearly as bad design as VW Beetles with RR or Merc Bonnets.
