For some reason the cruise control has stopped working, no idea if having a new windscreen fitted has anything to do with this or not. any idea's ?

Are you driving in B ? In this case the cruise control doesn't work, need switching in D.
If you are already driving in D, then it is not normal...try to reach out to the workshop

Windscreen may need camera recalibrating? ask the dealer.

Sometimes during winter my cruise control also stopped working. I'm not sure why, but I think it might have been because the windscreen was cold and had some condensation in front of the camera, so the camera couldn't see well enough. I believe the camera needs to see the car in front of you well enough, so that the adaptive cruise control can slow down the speed when you get too close to the car in front. A traditional (non-adaptive) cruise control wouldn't have this problem. My solution was to use the speed limiter instead of the cruise control, until the cruise control started working again. Maybe it took some time to warm up the windscreen, to clear up some condensation, but that's just my guess.

Also, daft I know, but just check you have cruise turned on, and not the limiter turned on instead.  Its a shared function button.  I mention because I've done it a few times myself, and wondered what was going on, as I rarely turn off the adaptive cruise.  It doesn't even reset when you stop and start the car, stays in its last utilised position.   :-[

If not this, definitely a camera issue

You should definitely talk to the party that has changed the windscreen!

Looks like a clear case of "cause and effect" to me ...
