just installed the new coilovers, tell me what you think :)
-
My first mod was 15 inch cades eros wheels, i was really happy that day. Then came the k57i, gave it a little more grunt
[attachment deleted by admin]
-
after a while i became unsatisfied with the gap between the arches so bought myself a set of eibach lowering springs which tidied it it up a bit.
-
got bored again so bought same rims but in 16's this time with a wider dish
-
new pioneer sound system went in a month ago and upgraded all the speakers> Sounds nice and kicks out a nice bit of bass but not too much that i set of car alarms lol
[attachment deleted by admin]
-
still in search of that perfect gap between the arch and tyre i reluctantly handed over a load of money for a set of bc v1 coilovers. I'm glad i did now :)
-
Aparrently the rear is as low as it will go according to the guy at the garage but I'm not so sure as I've seen other jazz's lower. Arches need to be rolled as they rub during fast cornering.
-
comparing hight between my jazz and my brothers s14. I think i'm sitting lower :)
-
Ive got a mugen spoiler on the way from japan at the mo so that will go on as soon as it arrives. Full custom exhaust will be next on the agenda, well after having arches rolled that is.
Hope you've liked the pics!
-
Looking very gorgeous mate;) well done!

Your rear springs are upside down. The metal cup sits at the top, not the bottom.
-
Cheers tetsky, I thought so pneuma after seeing everyone else's pics. Will this cause much difference in handling? Need to get It back to the garage.
-

-
It shouldn't cause to much trouble, I just wouldn't leave it like that for too long.
-
The tree by the front window needs a good trim! ;)
Car looks sound mate 8)
-
Funny you noticed the bush first lol! Cheers mate :)
-
Thanks Gary and cheers for the info pneuma, it's going back to the garage 1st thing in the morning. Just out of interest, how much money and work would it of been to turbocharge your jazz if you had went through with it?
-
Nice car dude. I like the mods so far, I too didnt know the rear spring cup sits at the top and not the bottom, im sure mine is at the bottom too!
As for you headunit, what choice is that? And where did you buy the new plastic dash surround thing to cover the gap? Its something ive been looking into, but not done yet.
-
Cheers Danny , head unit is a pioneer fh-x700bt. I bought the facia adapter from eBay, think it cost about £140. You'll also need an adapter to connect your new head unit to your stereo harness which came from eBay too for £30. I only intended to change the stereo but one thing led to another and ended up upgrading the whole system lol sounds nice though :)
-
Thanks for the info. I really like the look of that unit. The price seems to range massively though huh? CarAudioSecurity who i usually use wants 140+del for it, but they are selling it on ebay for 122 delivered.
I think i might have to convince the boss to let me have a new unit, and promise her im only upgrading the stereo haha (like that will happen)
-
I'll be selling my genuine honda fascia if people are interested? Genuine ones new from honda are only £80!
-
This is true, I bought mine from eBay for 125 but it didn't come with a cage and most likely the cage that comes with the head unit won't fit. The one from C.A.S for 140 is probably a full kit so it will save you from buying one after. Halfords do a kit for the same price, I had no idea you could get facia kits from honda but if you can then go there or if pneuma is selling his you've bagged yourself a bargain.
-
Nice build :D lots of jazz's coming out to play recently
-
Cheers Tom, I think your jazz was the first one I see when I first joined the forum. I remember thinking it was awesome lol. I have noticed the same thing but I've never seen any on the street.
-
Nice looking jazz mate. Well done ;)
-
Hey people, haven't done anything major since the last post but here's a few pics anyway.
-
my shiny one

second hand mugen spoiler came in the post from japan, took long enough.

Had a guy from arch enemy come to my house to sort out my rubbing issues, turns out it was the owner himself. Felt privileged

after putting the car on coils i was happy it was low but something was bugging me about the front end. I looked online for front splitters but wasn't very successful. One day I came across a J's Racing splitter so I emailed them and shortly got a reply saying it would be £250, I was happy with that until i found out i would have to pay the same again for shipping so that was out of the question. I decided to try and fabricate one out of fibre glass which started going well but had to bail on that as the amount of materials needed would of cost a fair bit.
-
There's a trend in the U.S with using garage door seal as a splitter, after seeing this I thought i'd give it a go. It was a bit floppy when i firs put it on so i reenforced the underside with some left over glass fibre. Its actually not bad for less than £35 lol
[attachment deleted by admin]
-
After seeing Chopstah spray his engine cover and how good it turned out I thought i'd give that a go too.

Some pics of the spoiler sprayed and fitted.

I really like the spoiler dude, More angles of that required please!
As for your front splitter, im unsure about that, i too like the idea of the J's racing type, but the expense put me off too.
-
Cheers mate, will post more pics when I get a chance to take some. The uk is pretty lame for modifications for the jazz. The U.S has a great selection at cheap prices but we'd get stung on shipping charges. As for my splitter, not sure if ill be keeping it on for much longer because I keep tearing chunks out of it on the floor lol. But it was worth a try.
-
nice jazzo dude! like the splitter!!!
-
love that splitter mate been thinking about one myself now. where did you get the garage lip from ?
Thank you
John :)
-
Cheers guys, got it of of eBay, if your going to get one then make sure you get a quality rubber one as I keep tearing chunks off at big speed bumps. Either that or not have your car so low lol
-
Nice ride you got there
-
Hey all, haven't posted for a while but thought I'd make an updade on whats happened.

Good Morning WOW that looks out of this world you must be very proud of it what an accomplishment ,
-
That is a very cool car! Classy, too. WOW! I've always thought there is something about the Jazz/Fit (GD and GE) so that it could 'mod' to look exceptional.
-
Looks good. Like that front splitter but not too keen on that rear spoiler.
Any performance mods and have they made any difference?
-
Thanks for the kind comments guys, I bought that spoiler with the intention of having something subtle but lets face it , with fat polished wheels sticking out the side, being so low and having a loud exhaust its not really subtle anymore so I think a change of spoiler is in mind to go with the rest of the look lol
Only performance mods would be the induction kit and cat back exhaust which don't make that much difference and if it does its barely noticable.

I did look at turbo conversion but it costs a lot of money and shouldn't stray to far from the fact that it is my family car.

that looks cool as funk mate, need to get my finger out and source the sport kit for mine
-
Cheers mate!
If your from the uk then I'd say look around at the breakers yards as you could pick up the whole lot for quite cheap :)
-
yeam i'm in the uk mate. going to have to have one, just got my tein coilovers so need it all looking tidy.
-
Hey peeps, I recently bought an arch rolling tool and a dremel. I went to work on the rear arches because they were rubbing really badly because of the width and offset. Here's some pics now ive lowered it again. (http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/01/30/sa7upu2e.jpg)(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/01/30/te4egy7y.jpg)(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/01/30/ygegatu4.jpg)

Hi Wozza,
I take my hat off sir, that is a fine looking Jazz, great job.
Can i ask about your window tints? What % did you get the back door windows & then did you go darker for the 3 in the back?
Thanks :)
-
Cheers mate! Window tints are light smoke all the way around apart from the front which are not tinted.

Just found the thread, great looking jazz and those last set of wheels are stunning
and lift the whole look of the car to another level.
-
Hi Wozza,
Where did you get the side skirts from or have they always been on it?
would like to try & get an original spoiler, sport front & back bumpers & side skirts but they seem to be very few & far between. Any ideas? (would like them already in silver nh623m)
Thanks
-
Thanks Sid
Taz, have you tried looking at the breakers yards, maybe you can get odd bits here and there for cheap. Mine already came with the kit as it's a sport model.
-
Looking good...

Really nice car mate. Just wondering what the rides like with your coils. Iv had d2 and meisterR before on civics before and it felt really smooth, just have no experience with jazz lol.
Lip really sets it off :)
