mist
« on: November 02, 2012, 12:52:32 PM »
It's my first "motoring autumn" in UK..

I found my windscreen in the morning covered with a mist or rather thin layer of water, "fogged up" from inside. It was near impossible to wipe out with a rag for some reason. Waited till it got removed by aircon. But how people manage w/o one? I hate idling, and loosing 10 minutes because of mist is no good.
After quick research online ordered 0.5kg silica gel.. will see if any good.
It's just it seems "morning effect" tend to be different for different cars, some have little or no mist.

And the other issue, water dropplets on mirrors and on outside of side windows, could anyone recommend water repellent that works?

Possibly a saturated pollen filter, if you change that it should stop the misting occuring.
