I succesfully removed the front door panel, but in the back I can't get the regulator handle off.

Has anyone managed to do this? Could you give me some advice?

I've got quiet some water leakage at the rear doors passenger sides when I go through the car wash. I wanna look if the white plastic is still ok.

It is normally just a case of removing the clip, which then allows the handle to pull off the splined shaft. May need a bit of jiggling or a broad bladed screwdriver between the handle and the card. Be careful not to damage either, if you have to resort to this method. Never had to remove the handle on a Jazz door, but many other marques, over the years.

Thanks!
I already tried the screwdriver thing.
I found this tool online. I'll probably buy just this tool and see how it goes!

It didn't work unfortunately.

The tool is a bit filmsy, so I ordered a different one. Hopefully it gives me more success :-)

After a car wash there's some water leakage in the backseat. The same as here:

Hi

I have taken all inside door panels off, and if I understand correctly what your having difficulty with, I left the triangular black plastic trim with door handle intact, and this pushes inwards away from the door panel and at same time, slide forward towards the centre door pillar, which then separates from the main door panel.

There is 1 screw you undue and remove to allow the above but you should be able to see this screw as it is not covered.

This is the method I used in front and rear door panel removals

Interesting I have the same water issue on the drivers rear door as shown in the video, but thought it was coming from the top of the door edge. I will be having a look now I know better

I hope that helps a little

Many thanks

John

Thanks John.

I'm able to remove the door handle.

But I'm not able to remove the window crank/regulator. I wish I had electric windows in the back :)
Curious what your findings will be.

Cheers!
Phil

Hi Philip

Ah sorry, I thought you had issues with door handle

Please see this link which shows you how to remove the door panel and glass winding handle (click the little icons to display pictures in the link), so it is held on by a clip, which you need to hook and pull.

Many thanks

John

No problem.

I got the hook, but I'm not handle to manage to get behind the handle with the hook.

I ordered this tool. Maybe it gives me more luck:

Hi Philip

Many thanks

It’s a long shot, but if you have a welding rod, or a thin stiff metal rod, could you not bend the very end into a v shape (small v shape), then slip it through and twist so the v is behind the clip, then gently pull until you feel some resistance, check to make sure it is the clip and then pull

I took the drivers rear door panel off and could see exactly where the water was coming out. The very bottom of the plastic where the black seal was not stuck to the plastic.

I pushed this inwards, so it sealed and then taped around the bottom plastic

Will have to see how it goes but now I know what causes the leak, will check next time if it happens again

Many thanks

John
