Tizer is more pink than yellow in my opinion. Especially on a dipstick.

Could your mechanic have used the later CVT fluid rather than the original CVT-F?

Sounds like it, I recently did my CVT oil and discussed the 2 CVT oils Honda makes with the Honda parts department, the pink is for all Jazz CVT's before 2015 and yellow is 2015 and onwards only and they are not interchangeable nor compatible.

If the op's oil looks yellow then it's definitely not the correct original Honda CVT oil for that gearbox.

Correct CVT fluid for Mk2 CVT is light pink, when due for a change its darker pink reddish.

Sorry confusing myself here, I meant the Engine Oil is yellow, the Gearbox is Pink , That's why I get someone else to fix the bloody thing lol . I've not had an engine apart since my old Marina and I could tune that baby in the snow and dark while singing showtunes lol

Re reading your issue with the g box I would always ask whats changed prior to the fault arising.
As reply 10 states sparky Paul syays could be worth another change of CVT + examine the fault codes both stored and current as well as the selection wiring underneath the gear selector.

Didn't someone else have a problem with the gear selector wiring, or did I dream it?

Before the MOT it had the Judder on engaging drive and wouldn't drive until you let the engine warm up for a few minutes.
The Mechanic did the MOT/Service and changed the CVT Fluid and it was fine for a few days .Then it wouldn't engage drive at all until it was put into manual , this worked for a week or so then it stopped engaging drive completely and will only go in Reverse.

The starter clutch sounds plausible to me, it controls forward and reverse modes. Looks like you'll need to find a CVT specialist or a replacement box unless it's something more simple like a linkage fault or wiring problem. There's a few videos on YouTube showing the operation of the starter clutch mechanism if you want to find it out how it works.

OMG!!! This has exactly happened to me, or rather the garage it was in when they replaced the rear brakes and right front tie rod! I had driven it for 2 weeks from buying it) and they had the car for 6 days before doing anything with it. I’ve now waited a week for them to take it to the Honda dealer here for them to have a look at...

Interesting about the paddles - I prefer using them and the car was fine when it went to the garage... it’ll be interesting what the Honda garage says...
