« on: September 16, 2020, 06:41:27 PM »
Hi
Subject says it all. My 57 plate Jazz radio suddenly sounds like the aerial is disconnected. Crackling and fading in and out.
Has anyone else had this please?

TIA

Have you recently fitted any cheap LED bulbs,  they can interfere with radio... even the small W5W sidelight size ones.

Some people will only consider you an expert if they agree with your point of view or advice,  when you give them advice they don't like they consider you an idiot

Is it worth having a look at the actual connection to the antenna behind the courtesy light? It's a potential leak point, and any moisture could rot the wire off.

It’s probably the aerial connection/ lead. Corrosion, or if the have fitted one of those cheap Chinese dash cams that go over the existing rear view mirror. This will cause a lot of interference. ( don’t ask me how I know that) lol.
