Door mirror stems the same thoughout the 2002-2008 production run??

Hi,

I have the enviable task of maintaining my sons 17 year old Jazz (2005 SE). just before his first solo drive after passing his test this week the (glued on apparently) O/S mirror popped off revealing an historic fracture of the mounting base plate. I need to replace the stem which I know is not sold individually. My question is can I get any mirror manufactured during this run and use the stem regardless of the mirror style or function. Getting an earlier non-indicator mirror to rob the base from makes it cheaper. Your thoughts most welcome thank you

I have stripped down an SE indicator mirror a couple of times and could find no way of separating the base from the main body.
