Common Faults

Owners and prospective buyers should look for the following issues that have been known to effect at least a handful of Mk1 Jazzes. Please note that not all Jazzes suffer from these problems - most are completely trouble free.

Some of these faults maybe covered by an extended warranty offered by Honda, subject to certain criteria. Please read the topics below and contact a Honda dealer or Honda UK if the fault is subject to an extended warranty.

Juddering CVT transmission
Water leaks in boot and footwell.
Jerky running caused by clogged EGR valve
Noisy manual geabox bearings
Ineffective handbrake.
Notchy power steering
Radio goes silent but most of the buttons and the display still work.

Recalls

All recall work must be carried out by a Honda dealer and will be done so free of charge.

Fault with electric window switch (issued in 2010 and again in 2013)
failure of the low beam headlights (issued in 2011).
Driver/Passenger side airbag may fail to deploy correctly (issued in 2015 for 2006-2008 models).
