Adjust accelerator cable

Hey
I'm new to the forum so hello one and all.
I have bought a 2006 honda jazz sport for my son.  Lovely car, engine sounds mint, only 68000 miles.  The accelerator cable has a little play before the engine revs up.  The cable must be a little loose.  I can adjust it myself but just need to know where it is and what tools i need.  Any pictures will help.  I think i have found where it is.  The is right hand drive.  So looking at engine, i think its behind the battery under a black box.  How do you remove the box?  And what size spanner will i need to adjust the cable nuts?  Thanks

The cable comes from the pedal up onto the top of the engine.

Do you know where it is located in the engine? Is the adjuster behind the battery?  Under a little black box?

On mine the adjuster was right on the top of the engine, nowhere near the battery.

What year model was your?  Mine is 2006 and uk spec.

Thats so wired.  They all should be the same.  I just need to loo in a haynes manual.

Yes you did jocko.  Anyone have a haynes manual for this model?

Thanks guys managed to sort it.  Its under the black plastic cover behind the battery.  Took off cover and quick 5 mins adjusted cable.
