The Honda filters I've had are Purflux (Italy) ones and Mahle Tennex (Japan). Purflux are owned by Sogefi, who also own the Fram brand in Europe. The Honeywell-Fram are manufactured in the US by Trico, who own the name in the US.

I don't know if the Honeywell-Fram ones are any good, but if they're manufactured for Honda, you would think they would have to be up to some sort of reasonable standard. Possibly a grey import, or maybe Honda are whittling the number of suppliers down?

I used a Honda filter from Cox last year with no issues. This time I have a Mann filter.
