In early 2011 there was a facelift to the Jazz which included a return to the CVT gearbox and the introduction of a torque converter clutch. This latter is the biggest difference between the the two gearboxes.

I remember getting into our new March 2011 Jazz EX CVT and noticed the car was quieter than earlier Jazz models & the best part only turning 2k rpm at motorway speeds .
The Front bumper is an uplift design & different from 2010 model years.

Yes its noticeably more refined, also at highway speeds you don't hear that incessant whining the earlier CVT made which did kind of spoil the drive.

It's the perfect gearbox for cruising, I don't feel any need to race along or come close to breaking the speed limit as was previously the case with the manual vehicle I had. Although the 1.3 I have still has plenty of power and acceleration when you need it even on the freeway, you still have to be careful of your speed because it picks it up quickly.
