Another CAT Nicked - P0135 - Resetting ECU Help
« on: November 04, 2021, 02:44:06 PM »
Been a member for a number of years first post looking for some help please. Some scumbags have nicked CAT of my 2006 MK1 Jazz. Have had the cat replaced and a cage fitted but the MIL warning light is staying on. Have had someone to try and clear the fault codes on a cheap diagnostic tool.
41-10 (P0135) HO2S S1 HEATER CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION
61-07 (p0134) HO2S (A/F SENSOR) S1 CIRCUIT NO ACTIVITY
Have tried resetting the ECM/PCM from this link http://www.hondafitjazz.com/manual/A00/HTML/98/SAA2E98K72100000000BBAT00.HTML#iG04
but on my fuse box underneath steering wheel there is no fuse in port No.20, so removed 20amp fuse from No.14 and No.11 also battery off for 1 hour still warning light stays on.
any advice would be beneficial, thanks

There are two 02 sensors on a Jazz, one before the cat and one after it. The codes indicate that the pre-cat sensor is not communicating with the ECU for some reason - it might be faulty, the wiring /connector might be at fault or maybe there isn't an O2 sensor there?

You can only clear codes if the problem has been solved, otherwise, they just come back on again.

When the cat was cut off, they almost certainly took both O2 sensors and the fact that you don't get codes for the post cat sensor, indicates that that one is OK and that the codes were reset after the the cat and sensors were replaced.
