Title: Lights on the head unit

Hi all,
Can anyone explain to me, how to change lights on the buttons circled in green in the picture:

Is it necessary to disassemble  the head unit?

I`ve replaced my radio earlier but if I remember right those buttons under the radio goes in so you`ll have to get the whole unit out.
