Coil packs

If the car is suddenly have kind of a jumping forward moments which gradually increased over a six month period this means coil plugs need changing isn't it?

Does all x4 coil packs need changing or only the bad one need changing in these sort of issues please?

Also, does it matter what brand you buy? On Auto doc there are coil packs from £20-60 so really not sure if buying a cheaper one is ikay or not.
