Brake Dust
« on: September 13, 2011, 11:20:09 AM »
Hi All,

As my Jazz is still very new I am getting OCD cleaning it, and it seems to be collecting a lot of brake dust on the front wheels.

Are the brake pads soft and prone to frequent replacement? My Astra went to 45k with still lots of wear left on the front pads.

Common on nearly every car these days, when you clean them try an alloy wheel spray like 'autoglym alloy wheel seal' that should keep the dust at bay for a little while longer...................

I have just had the car Paintguarded and got a can of alloy wheel protector, but I guessed that this was for additional treatments at a later date, maybe I should just hose down the wheels. They get so dirty after just 100 miles  :-X
