OSV HR-V review on YouTube
« on: February 18, 2022, 05:09:30 PM »
...OSV YouTube review tomorrow (Sat Feb19th ) at 5pm apparently.
They normally do a great job with their take on a car.
Might be useful to someone still deciding.

Yes, in my opinion not a very well executed video review. In fact I found it less informative than most others which surprised me because their reviews are generally good.

I thought it was up to their usual high standard with the following exceptions, which I made on the YT version's comments section.
Colin Lambert

I have owned my HR-V since 15th January and would make the following comments.
Different regen doesn't show much difference in retardation? RUBBISH!
level one is about the same as an ordinary ICE powered car. Full regen slows the car down quite markedly. No level of regen will bring the car to  complete halt.
" Unfortunately seat does not have lumbar support" basically because the seat is so good. I challenge anyone to have a back as bad as mine andI am superbly comfortable.
It does NOT have a CVT gearbox it has an e:CVT which in reality is a dog clutch which locks the engine to the electric propulsion when extra 'urge' is required.
Disregard the Honda performance figures. Carwow timed it 0-62 at 8.69 seconds and like wise the consumption is better than that quoted by Honda.

Correction: The dog clutch is engaged when the car speed and engine speed / power are sufficiently well matched that it's more efficient to deliver the power directly rather than through the electronics. On the Jazz this tends to happen when cruising on the level (or thereabouts) between about 45 and 65 mph. The objective is to keep the engine running in its most efficient zone:
