Wiper blades
« on: September 08, 2021, 09:01:06 AM »
Has anyone replaced the front wiper blades?

The mk4 doesn’t seem to be listed on many of the car accessory sites.

I’m finding the supplied blades ok for rain, but no good for fresh bugs despite having good screen wash. They come off right away with a lightly applied damp cloth, but all my previous cars have removed them with just the wipers and screen wash.

Looking at the manual it points to just replacing the rubbers.

I've always swapped mine for Bosch AeroTwins which IMO are superb. I'll investigate more nearer the time whether the whole blade can be replaced.
Let's be careful out there !

The new mk4 Jazz seems to have slightly different front blades - I've just measured mine with a tape measure and the main one is the same 26" but the passenger side seems to be 15" which is an increase from earlier models.

Loads of Skoda owners, including me, have had to waste £19 on replacement blades as Skoda OE are cr@p & judder like hell.  Confirm that Bosch Aerotwin are 'the dog's'! Available on EBay.

I doubt 10mm per end on the passenger side will make any noticeable difference, the main one is 26" driver side one

It looks like they have also changed the rear blade - old Jazz is listed as 14" but new Jazz measures 12"

The wiper blades suggested so far are for Mk3 not MK4. I can't find anyone offering blades specifically for MK4.
Are the fittings the same?

I've been in touch with a very helpful person at wiperblades.co.uk and sent them pictures of all the fixings.

They have confirmed that the correct Bosch blades for the Mk4 Jazz are:

Driver:

https://www.wiperblades.co.uk/bosch-aerotwin-ar26u-wiper-blade

Passenger:

https://www.wiperblades.co.uk/bosch-aerotwin-ar15u-wiper-blade

Rear:

https://www.wiperblades.co.uk/honda-jazz-years-2020-to-2021-wiper-blades/rear-screen

I've ordered a set from them now. The car came out in 2020, so I'm surprised Halfords/etc still don't list the Mk 4 Jazz on their websites.

Original equipment blades are 650mm and 375mm

For cross reference, Honda parts numbers are:

Drivers: 76620-TZA-J01
Pass: 76630-TZA-J01

All new blades fitted today - there's a good improvement in cleaning.

I had a few bugs on the screen, the new wipers and screenwash cleared them no problem.

On the OE ones, I would have had to get a damp cloth to remove them.

They have also added the Mk4 Jazz to their website so you can see the wiper options available.
