Jazz Mark3 top of What Car? Reliability Poll
« on: June 11, 2023, 11:17:12 AM »
I saw on YouTube the other day a video where a bloke went down a list of the top 20 most reliable older cars according to a What Car? recent survey.
The Jazz Mark3 tops the poll at number 1 with the Jazz Mark2 at 7 or 8.
I don't know how they get this data, but it is nice to know as an owner that it is doing so well.
I've lost the YouTube link to this, but if anybody is interested a search should easily find it.

saw the carwow reliability poll video , Jazz Mk.3 also came top by quite a margin

Interesting that the most common faults reported on the mk3 were aircon and central locking.

Probably aircon related faults were the condenser , being so exposed at the front of the car, had to have mine replaced at 30k , luckily under warranty.

The Mk 3 Jazz is also the “Which” best buy for small used car. I was thinking of changing my 7 yr old one this Autumn but now I’m wondering what’s the point? It does all I want it to do, and at 60,000 miles it’s good for a long way yet!

Pebbles: My Jazz SE is a 2018 plate with 16500 on the clock, so when the A/C packs in it'll be out of warranty I think, at the milage I do. So I'd better start saving up for a new condenser ..... :)

Downsizer:  Yes, I agree with you. If it ain't broken don't fix it!
I've never been brainwashed by those sexy car TV adverts: Car driving on an empty cliff road on the Italian Riviera. They never advertise the real world: Stuck on the M1 in a five mile traffic jam :)
Sorry, I'm just a cynical old Yorkshireman!!

Having recently acquired a 2019 Jazz, this is music to my ears. It was between a Mazda2 or a Jazz, and having owned two Hondas in the past, the Jazz just edged it!

Very happy with the decision, although the infotainment system is absolutely rubbish!

My central locking failed at 4½ years and 45,000 miles. £1109 to fix. Unimpressed.

Was the car serviced at a Honda franchised agent ?
It is a fact of life that no car is faultless, but there is clear evidence generally that if you service your car as above Honda do tend to take a very sympathetic position.
In my experience this happens with all manufacturers, except Honda do seem to be more generous, for what it is worth.

I wouldn't let any vehicle near a dealership. I use a proper mechanic.

I saw this as well. Good to hear.

Now I only wish a-holes would stop opening their doors into my passenger door. If it wasn't for this happening my Jazz would still be looking very new all round.

(Im so careful yet 2 people have done it. And paint on Honda's seems so thin. Anyway...)

Not easy when you have a free 5 year service plan.
