Honda Jazz Mk3 2015 - 2020 / Re: no crank start

Key battery?
No, the key battery feeds  only the central door locking circuit. The car can crank even without that  CR2032.

Even worse when using Android Auto Google Maps because it's full screen so you see nothing.

Honda Jazz Mk4 2020 - / Track Information
« Last post by Guinness 2 on June 06, 2023, 09:44:29 AM »
When I have the Navigation window on the screen the music track I am playing (from a USB stick) shows at the top but is limted by the length of the information. I often get just the song title (if long) and can't see the artist. have tried to play with settings but to no avail.  has anyone found a way of either scrolling the information or having the artist name first followed by the track.  I know I can press the widow to get to the full music window and then press navigation again to return to the map but ideally I don't want to have to do this.  Any suggestions much appreciated.

Honda Jazz Mk1 2002-2008 / No lights on dash and power steering gone - HELP!
« Last post by Jimboo on June 06, 2023, 09:42:43 AM »
Hi,I'm new to the forum and hoping someone can help!
I have a 2008 Jazz 1.4, car has been driving fine. I'd been out for the day and when we went to dive home I found that all the dash lights wouldn't come on and the power steering wasn't working. All other electrics working fine. Recovery firm sent a mobile mechanic who checked and changed the fuse but it keeps blowing.

Anyone had this before?? I've checked the wires and changed fuses but no.3 still keeps blowing. The car battery is now dead so starting to think this could be an alternator fault.... also noticed one of the fog lights is blown.
Any ideas?? Local garages won't look at electrical faults and mobiles charging a fortune  :o

I had an offer of £400 cheaper than my local dealer was offering.  They wouldn't match it. I offered to split the difference, they still didn't bite so they lost the sale.  The local salesman was very apologetic but said his boss just wouldn't move.

When I bought mine (not recently admittedly) I found one at another dealer, took down the details and gave it to my local dealer, told them I was going to buy it but gave him a chance to match it if he wanted the business which he did, if you put them on the spot  like that then there's a good chance they'll cave in especially if they've missed their sales target. The way I looked at it, say you're saving £1000 then would you drive 100 miles and back if someone offered you £1000 to do it? If the car's under warranty your local dealer will still sort out any issues, and he will want the servicing business so won't do anything to upset you.

I had a new Jazz EX delivered (about 150 miles away) via carwow. No probs. Firstly, my experience with Honda is there aren't any early problems and secondly, if by any chance there is one, your local dealer is duty bound to help. Do check out any deals on extended Warranty and Servicing.

does the local dealer or any other offers have the 5 year service deal - "worth" £750

I tried that with the local dealer but he was having none of it. He also claimed that Honda isn't sweetening finance packages with the 5 year service plan at the moment. I did find one dealer on Autotrader claiming to offer a discount of £699, but it turned out he was selling the car at list and throwing in the 5 year service plan for free (and I think the official price is now £799). That's actually a slightly better offer than Carwow, but the dealer is even further away.
