Honda Jazz Mk4 2020 - / Re: Necessary or not
« Last post by embee on December 03, 2023, 07:00:22 PM »
Regarding ice warnings, just watched the news and saw the usual chaos on English roads due to a bit of snow. People were bemoaning the fact that they got stuck with no food or water and no help from the "emergency services".
Well Duh!!!
It as though no-one had any idea nor warning that the weather might be a bit wintry and they were forced out onto the road in their shorts and tee shirts with no preparation. Hey, folks, there's this thing called the internet these days, dead easy to check weather forecasts and travel warnings even if you haven't actually watched the weather forecast on TV. It's December in the UK, wake up!!

It's true, so many people are simply stupid idiots and it is not possible to protect them from themselves. There is no hope for humanity.

2007 (57 reg, September) Low Mileage Jazz SE 1.4, has the infamous input shaft bearing whirr with the clutch disengaged that goes away when you press it. It also whines in second and fourth under load at speed, though I believe this is just the aforementioned bearing. I changed the oil recently as it hadn't been done in 10 years (I've owned the car for 1)

Bought a Civic and it was an excellent car so bought the Jazz as a spanish run around on the strength of it and when the Civic was written off by a hit and run when parked up we bought the CRV too!

Congratulations with your Jazz; a perfect little car! And welcome here on the forum.
The switch for the heated steering is on the right hand side within the steering wheel, just below the cruise control switches.

Hi folks, newbie to this forum and my first post. I have been driving my Jazz hybrid for a month now and getting used to the automatic, have always driven manual up to now. A couple of questions please.
1) I am fitting a Nextbase dash cam and have come across the micro fuses. I think that is what they are called, I have only been used to the full sized fuses before. Are they unique to Honda?
I have searched online for a fuse tap and come across some on Amazon (see pic) but not sure if they are the correct ones. Any advice great fully received.
2) The other day I suddenly found the steering wheel was warming up 😅 silly question but I do not know how I turned this on. First thought was handbook, oh no not that simple, I can not find any mention of steering wheel heating at all. Any ideas of which switch I must have turned on at all.
Thanks for your patience I look forward to your replies.

Honda Jazz Mk1 FAQ / Re: Honda Jazz 2002-2008 noisy manual gearbox/shaft bearing problem

Has anyone had a failure from these 'defective' bearings and now with time and hindsight is it ok to carry on driving it regardless?

Honda Jazz Mk3 2015 - 2020 / Re: Can't find ceramic brake pads for Jazz

I really don't like how my brakes react on slight touch at slower speeds. Modulation is non existing, on-off.
Consider the idea of a total brake fluid change with a low viscosity  DOT4, such as an ATE SL6.

I thought that the mirror fold button was not illuminated. Mine never has and I have considered doing a conversion (which involves, from memory, replacing it with one from another model, Possibly a Civic?).

Not sure where I saw this but I do find it fiddly trying to find the button in the dark when wearing gloves.
