Waze directions in feet
« on: September 20, 2022, 01:23:42 PM »
If you use the Waze Sat Nav app, do you find that it using feet instead of yards as meaningless and irritating as I do?
It saying "take the turn in one thousand two hundred feet" means nothing to UK users. Or "In 50 feet turn left". By the time I've worked it out in yards I've missed the turn!

If this drives you nuts like it does me, then please up vote this feature request. Waze are stubbornly refusing to make this simple change. It'll only get sorted if enough people mark it as important.

Come on, let's see if we can get this sorted  :)
Thanks!

Does Waze have an option for metric distances? I hope it doesn't insist on millimetres!

Get Rees-Mogg on the case. But then you might end up with distances in Leagues, Furlongs and Chains.

I gave up on Waze and now use TomTom Go It has traffic information. There is an annual subscription, currently £20 but find it well worth it, especially now I have moved to a city I do not know.

Yes, I use TomTom, the problem is that the UK voice mispronounces at least 50% of all UK place and road names. It drives me absolutely nuts and TomTom have no intention of sorting it out.
