jazz 08- manual gearbox bearings
« on: February 08, 2014, 03:47:19 PM »
Hi, does anyone know if the 2008 onwards jazz has the same gearbox (manual) bearing problems and if so does the t.s.b that extended the warranty7years 100k for the 2002-2008 jazz apply to the 2008- jazz. Also is full dealer history a requirement or will an independent garage service history be ok for a claim..

as far as I am aware the problems with gearbox bearings was limited to early model GD (between 2002 - 2004) and was not a design fault but rather faulty bearings from a supplier.
Some people will only consider you an expert if they agree with your point of view or advice,  when you give them advice they don't like they consider you an idiot

O/E filter sold in UK with part no:15400-RBA-F01 is made by Purflux, a French Company owned by the Sogefi Group which incidentally also owns the Fram brand and you can get the exact same filter under the Fram part no:PH5317 but painted black rather than the Honda blue but half the price. O/E filter from Japan is normally made by Toyo Roki but unable to buy in UK.
