I need help

Today i went to change my gear oil
because my car has been struggling to
shift between gears and the mechanic said
that its a CVTF and its written on the
dipstick too but back in 2021 they've used
ATF but the car is still fine (i guess). I’ve been using the car with ATF for 2 years does that mean the gearbox is damaged? Do I have to replace it?
I don’t know much about cars please help

I would suggest you do a drain and a flush, then refill with CVTF, same as for a jerky CVT, and go from there.
