Just a tip. If you remove the plastic blade and have the bare steel arm lifted away from the screen, it can spring back down onto the glass and potentially cause grief.
Put a folded towel or something similar on the screen where the arm could land, just in case .......

When I had my 75 FIAT 126 I would do 80 mph downhill but could only manage 30 mph uphill on some motorway stretches. The M90 has some steep grades, even warning HGVs to stay in low gear. Coming up those sections were 30 mph max.

As others have said, there is no legal minimum speed on a motorway, and under variable message signs there can often be a speed limit of 40mph or less.

It isn't safe to be going any slower than 45mph under normal conditions, though, and often you'll disrupt things if you go any slower than the HGVs sitting on their limiters at 56mph.

Chipex here. Excellent colour match but it does take some practice to get a perfect finish.

Try being a gun owner.
Despite relatively clear guidance for the Home Office for the management of licensing many Police Forces, sorry Services, make up their own version.
As they have the power over you it's difficult to argue unless you have a good lawyer.

Finding a legal definition for every  possible exception, such as poor weather,  would be a nightmare.    When vehicles physically incapable of high speeds have no option but  to use the motorway they are normally expected to display flashing orange beacons.

I never took my 1931 Austin 7 on the motorway except one  or twice when I knew its was a short distance to the next junction and down hill all the way  (The car could then manage 50, or even 60 mph ) But uphill this could drop to 30 mph.   Although it may not have been illegal, it would have been stupid. No good claiming you were entitled   if  a 90 mph BMW or 40 tonne truck rear ends you.   (some cyclists please note)

Hi All, Just a short piece asking advice/opinion on which paint repair kit for chips and scratches would you, have you bought and used? From bit of research and few youtube videos, seems there are 3 on the market:
Honda
Chipex
Halfords

Colour code for the automatic is B568M azure blue metallic. There are 5 or 6 stone chips on the bonnet, size of a matchhead, most of which show rust (I have seen this can be removed before applying paint). Then there are many tiny scratches near door handles which look like 'long thin hairs' scratches, which I am confident can be tcut/rubbing compunded out. Finally, there are 2 or 3 deeper scratches on doors which will not rub or polish out and will need a tiny paintbrush or applicator to apply paint and build up, with a steady hand!

Have not been able to do a damn thing yet to the car due to bloody weather, but I am itching to get out there (without making myself ill this time!). I will, as have done before, tcut the whole car, and concentrate on those areas that need it most, and on majority of car just give a quick application with microfibre and water spray to keep lubricated. Has anybody ever used a sponge applicator that you can use with a cordless drill as 1 or 2 videos showed them using this type and may make job much quicker and better results?!

Anyway, at least the boot is still bone dry, even after the continual rain and downpours we have had, and the confidence to go through a car wash...all good! Car is so much easier than a manual, and the cruise control, OMG, what a godsend, love it. Also like playing with the flappy paddles, used when going downhill, and get bit more control of car.

Thanks for any advice and opinions that are forthcoming.
