Dog crate with seats up?
« on: November 13, 2022, 08:53:42 PM »
Hi all

I’m hoping someone here can help me. I’m looking to buy an older, hopefully still reliable Jazz. The fact that there is an active forum here dedicated to the jazz is hopefully a very good sign of that!

I’m hoping the jazz will be a perfect fit for a dog. I’m looking for a small car for now and I’ve read so many good things about the boot size and foldable seats in the jazz. I think I will travel with at least one seat down most of the time so fitting in the crate will be easy. But I’m hoping to travel with my nieces every now and then and therefore would a dog crate fit in the bag with the seats up?

It would be something like the 36” cage here:

https://amzn.eu/d/5I1vC0A

So the full dimensions are 92x57x63cm

Would that fit in the boot with the seats up and the boot closed?

Many thanks for any assistance

Just nipped outside with a tape measure and it doesn't look as if it would fit.

It may just squeeze in, depending on which which dimension is which, but it looks as if the seat backs may slope back a fraction too much.  Perhaps someone else can confirm?

...I guess it depends on which Jazz you are talking about?

We use a Ferplast dog cage in our mk2 Jazz, the sloping front gives plenty of clearance for the rear door with the rear seats up.

Thanks GBH for taking time out of your day to do that!

And thank you everyone else for the help
