Using Google Maps and Audio

Hi, a very happy but confused new jazz owner here, I’m trying to work out how to turn radio sound off and use my iPhone as Sat Nav. Each time I get directions from the sat nav the radio comes on afterwards, as I don’t really like the radio on how can I have sound for sat nav but not for radio. There’s probably a very simple answer but I can’t find it. Many thanks.

I think your car radio is set to give you e.g traffic announcements or news. Turn it off and that should solve the problem.
