Do they actualy light up? Not sure I've noticed if they do! Next time it's dark, I'll have a check for you. Mind, not sure I would bother to replace if the bulb has gone. Still a very easy button to find in my experience.

I think most cars have been doing that for the last 15/20 yrs, I think they're a useful thing.

The one in the Mk2 Jazz is a fairly quite affair. Unlike the 2 MK Ford Focus's I've owned, they have a really loud warning. First time appeared, the noise was so loud I thought something major had happened!

Do they make much difference?

I think it is an important safety feature, and has been on all of my cars for a long time, actually back to 02 on my Lexus LS .

All my Renaults did it.

Will a spacesaver interfere with the tyre deflation calculations, or because just the right diameter not make a difference in revolution terms?
Yes, it will - just recalibrate the deflation warning system (like you would do after any other change of wheel or tyre) and you are safe again.
Please keep in mind that spacesaver wheels are just an emergency stand-in and are not meant for prolonged journeys (hence better to have a full spare wheel on board if you want to carry a spare).

Found it!  :)

 -press the left selector wheel
- scroll up to "Safety Support"
- press wheel once to select
- scroll through the menu to the parking assist
- press wheel to toggle off/on
- press home to leave the menu
- enjoy a quiet ride in the snow  :D

In the same place you can deselect the infamous RDMS (road departure mitigation system).
However, these settings are not persistant and have to be redone after every power up again.

Thank you again LV for pointing me in the right direction!
Honda Jazz Mk2 2008-2015 / Lower dashboard light
« Last post by HondaJazz on Today at 02:51:10 PM »
I noticed the other night that the cabin air circulation buttons (the LED lights still work) and mirror fold/ adjust are no longer illuminating. I was hoping it was a blown fuse and had a good look at the interior fuse box but couldn't find anything that resembles a fuse for that part of the dashboard.
Has anyone come across this before. I've attached couple of pictures. Hope someone can help.
Thanks in advance.

I wouldnt want you undertaking a major job based on my suggestion without getting an expert  second opinion.

Another thing that can make a metallic noises  is the clutch on the air conditioning  compressor .  Is there any change  between A/C on and A/C off?
You mention Europe.  By searching as a Honda Fit,(as its known in the USA)   I have found a few ceramic pads in the USA.   I dont know if they will fit your car.  The sellers may not ship to Europe.    But by searching the make and part number of the pads  you  may find other suppliers, possibly some in Europe. Or the makers may have their own web site that can help.

If you definately cant find any  then there are companies that reline  friction linings.   Here is one in the UK that say they can make brake pads to your own specification.  There may be others.
