Hi

I bought Honda jazz 1.4 2004.

The seller only had 1 key. I need spare key. I checked Amazon and they only sell Honda jazz 2007 upwards (see image)

What is my best solution? I enquired from local dealers and they seem clueless where I can get help.

What are my best options?

Unfortunately it's not as simple as ordering a key off eBay. Cutting or copying the blank key from your existing key is easily done by a locksmith but as far as I know there is a transponder fitted inside the key casing which does not come included with the key from eBay and to complicate matters there are 3 versions of transponder that was used for the GD series Jazz and even if you are lucky enough to get the right transponder it the has to programmed to your car either by a dealer or specialist. On the other hand there are replacement key specialist that can supply and program a new key for you or you can order a replacement key from your local Honda dealer which they do via your vehicle's VIN number.
Either option is not cheap but using a key specialist is still the cheaper option. Current price for a replacement key from a Honda dealer is about £200 which includes programming.

Wow. Thanks. So I must take the current key to locksmith for copy. That way is cheaper. Thank you I'll do it ASAP.
