Honda HR-V at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show.

Power to come from the what appears to be the same 138bhp 1.8 i-VTEC petrol engine found in the Civic, fingers crossed we'll get it too. We should get the  the 1.6 i-DTEC diesel from the Civic (Honda would be crazy not to) and the 1.3 i-VTEC rumored to go in the next Jazz.

Utilizing a new global platform, the all-new Honda HR-V has one of the most spacious and versatile cabins in its class. Utilizing its unique platform design with a center-mounted fuel tank and reconfigurable second-row “Magic Seat," the completely new HR-V has voluminous interior space along with a flexible cabin featuring multiple seating/cargo modes. With 100.1 cu. ft. of passenger volume (LX) and 58.8 cu. ft. of cargo volume with the second row seats down, the HR-V has space to rival some competitors' mid-size SUV offerings.

2016 is the model year. In the US a new model launched in 2015 would normally be promoted as a '2016 Model'.

2016 is a LONG time to wait.

The article says it'll be in dealerships in the US early next year (2015).  It's already been on sale in Japan (RHD of course, so should be easy to bring here) for several months.
