With all the publicity surrounding the new Jazz hybrid, it's no wonder information on the Honda Jazz Electric Vehicle (EV) escaped our attention! Previewed at the Los Angeles Motor Show, the Jazz EV can travel up to 99miles/160km on a single charge and takes 6-12 hours to charge.
The Jazz EV has three modes as found in the CR-Z hybrid - Econ, Normal and Sport. Econ mode can save 17% over Normal, which in turn saves 25% over the Sport mode. Top speed in Sport mode is claimed to be 90mph and so say Honda, makes the Jazz perform like a 2-litre petrol car.
Honda plan to sell the Jazz EV in Japan and the US from 2012.
