I held back to let a car out the other day. It turned out to be one of those feckin great Bentley SUV's. Not a flickr of gratutude from the drivers window. No surprise there; seems the more priveledged you are the less manners you have.
I was a mechanic in a muse garage in London for a while. The customers were often rude and very bad at paying their bills. We had to go and steal a car that a customer had not paid the bill for.
Often the opening conversation began;  "Now look here...."

Manners cost nothing !
I was in a two lane road merging into one lane and a Jaguar forced me to let him past, wouldn't look across, he knew what he was doing.
It will be alright in the end, if it's not alright then it's not the end !

Probably showing disdain not shame.

I think you're right, he was coming through, no doubt in his mind, it was happening.

After many different brands, the first Honda:
Jazz Comfort Plus CVT - 2013 - 2017, average fuel consumption 6.7 l/100 km = 42.2 mpg

succeeded by a Toyota Yaris Hybrid 2017 - 2021,  average consumption 4.9 l / 100 km = 57.6 mpg

Back to Honda: Jazz e:HEV Ex - 2021 - present, average consumption 4.6 l/100 km = 61.2
Now you know (almost) everything about Jazzik except that he is a retired RNLAF logistics officer.

My first Honda was a Z50J "Monkey" moped in late 80's.

Then mid 2010's I imported a 1st gen CR-V for my wife, so technically I owned the car for couple of months during the customs, registration and taxation process. But in practise it's been hers all the time since I got it home. And she had a similar one before that.

And now I've had a GK5 Jazz 1,5 since 2020.

I work in R&D and product management in defence vehicle industry. Still over 15 years to expected retirement.

2001 Honda Accord 2.0 petrol 5dr. Posh model as it was badged 'SE Executive'! Silver with black leather and a sunroof. Was only 3yrs old at the time.

2013 Jazz SE. Had it nearly 3yrs now and put 40k on it. Brilliant little motor.

2012 Civic 1.8 SE. Mrs W's motor been with us for 18 months

Bikes, just two Hondas so far.

1999 CB600 Hornet Cracking wee bike with the 16" front wheel. Slightly odd handling though. A happy year of ownership.

2006 CBF1000 in black. Recently sold after many years and miles. Brilliant bike. If I buy another bike, it will be the newer model CBF1000. A detuned Fireblade engine that is so easy to ride and use. Fantastic all rounder.

I own a '99 model VFR800, bought from new and still going just as well as the day I bought it.  I even rode it to work today. Serviced it myself for the past 20-years, no major problems except for a couple of rectifier failures which has since been solved by fitting a Ricks unit.

It's an absolutely astounding motorcycle that's powerful, comfortable, great handling and ultra-reliable.  I have had dozens of bikes since but this one will always be my favourite and has made me consider Honda as the very best manufacturer of quality cars and bikes.

I bought my first Honda Accord in 1981 after driving a disastrous unreliable Chrysler Alpine.
Driven the Accord for 8 years without a single problem or errors.
However Mr. Rustdevil in the 80's was always present, but reliability was beyond dispute.
Long story short:6 different Generations of  Accords, The Aerodeck was my favorite.
1 Quintet: unfortunately not my car, unworthy of the name Honda,
3 different Gens. Prelude
1 Jazz AA  (Modified with a 1.4 V-Tec engine)  :D   BMW 323i, Eat your heart out!
6 Civics in which 2 times a 8th gen  FK
And at present since a month a Black Jazz GK Elegance (Lovely car BTW)
