Thanks for the link Kremmen. Nice looking motor the Civic 11. Hard to believe the Civic has been with us for 50yrs!  :) Look forward to a good read of the PDF later.

We've had our Civic 9 1.8 pet manual for just over 6 months. It's a very refined car, rides so smoothly and the interior is so quiet compared to our Jazz.

With car values being what they are at the moment, I think it'll be a while before we get our Civic mk10, and it will have to be the 1.5.

The 1.5 is the best choice.

There is an ongoing battle with one owner who bought a used 1.0l Civic 10 and the engine has been destroyed, out of warranty, because the timing belt, that runs in oil, snapped.

Also on the MK10 make sure the aircon pipe has been replaced, or it whistles, and the front bumper has been replaced, or when it rains, the front parking sensors fire up. Both replaced FOC on complaint.

Thanks for the heads up on the Civic 10, appreciated.

I've read about the 1.0 belt in oil. Looks like Honda dropped the ball on that design. Rare for them imho. Flipping expensive to get replaced too. Honda want £1600 for the job. https://www.honda.co.uk/cars/owners/repairs.html which is about 4 times more that one would expect to pay for a cambelt replacement.

@ Kremmen,
Any chance you have that tech sell sheet for the mk4 Jazz?   Interesting read. Seen that they have removed the front radar from the new mk11 civic and went with the mk4 Jazz single camera .
