Well thanks for all the posts!

My Jazz still collects a little water when its been raining. Does the car no harm at all and I mop it up on the weekly oil level check. Not caused any problems since I first noticed it 2 months ago.

On all the Hondas I've owned, its the level of engineering in them that gives me total confidence. I'm sure a little water collecting where it does occasionaly was factored in.

I gave the mk2 an oil change today, and whilst under there noticed a bit of water in said place.

Perhaps it's condensation dropping off the underside of the bonnet? There a part above the airbox that doesn't have any sound insulation pad.

As our drive is a on a bit of a slope, I've decided to park it the other way round. The nose is now higher. Only time will tell if it makes a difference.

If its the only place water gets where its not supposed to be, its a result. I've owned a few leaky cars in the past and they're no fun.
