Where to purchase a Replacement Oil Dipstick?
« on: June 12, 2019, 08:24:00 PM »

Almost got the stuck one out of the newly bought car with the help of a hairdryer and than the plastic just snapped leaving me with half of it inside... Next stop probably screwing a screw in the remaining part and trying to pull it out that way? If that fails? Have to try to drill it out & change the oil of the car to flush out any bits that may have fallen inside while drilling?

Anyway..I had to order in a new one before I attempt any of that, however I can't find where I can get one?
there are 0 on ebay that I can find, only one used coming from Australia :D
Anyone knows where I can get one? I don't mind using a cheap generic one ( I see they sell them for other cars for like 3squids shipped...) However I don't know what length do I need and if it will even fit.

I have a 2012  , 1.4 engine.

Already had tried that website and few others like that which popped up in search results, it's just a fake website which lists the keywords and asks you to search through them, they don't actually have one..

Have you searched on the forum about how to remove the piece of the dipstick left in the hole?

I seem to remember someone else resolved this a while ago? I cannot remember how.

haven't done that, but wasn't able to find now when searching anyway.
Watched plenty of YT videos and seems like the only way is drilling a hole in remaining plastic/screwing a screw in so you can try to pull it out. Anyway I'm not even sure how successful that will be as spent over an hour trying to get it out when it finally broke off as it was just terribly stuck :(

A new dipstick from a Honda dealer (15650-RB1-000) will cost you £17.46

If you cant get the old one out, you could replace the dipstick tube (15200-RB0-G00) for a further £14.54

Thank you very much for the part number,
Found I can order it from here with reasonable shipping costs, that other website someone posted previously wanted £20+Vat just for delivery.

I don't think anyone will know this, but How can you remove the dipstick tube if needed from the engine?
Is it just pressed in? Or are there any retainer screws/mounts for it on this Jazz model?
I think there is 50/50 chance I will need to get the dipstick tube as well or at least take it off to try to remove the old stuck dipstick out from it.

The dipstick tube is retained by one bolt and has an o ring seal.
