If the Acura part was available in the UK I would say give it a try as it could be relatively easily obtained , and returned if necessary. But USA suppliers may not be prepared to ship to the UK, or it would be time consuming and expensive ,with little chance of returns. Depends if you are willing to write off the time delay and costs if it doesnt work.

« Last post by Lord Voltermore on March 07, 2026, 08:58:15 AM »Never done it. But if you can obtain the part , or examine good quality photos of the part for sale this may give clues to how the old part is removed and replaced.
In general terms some parts are fitted using plastic clips that may break during removal. So you may also need to obtain suitable replacement clips.
On some cars , parts such as door protectors etc may just be glued on using very strong double sided trim tape. To remove the old parts of this type a good technique is to use thin, but strong ,thread slipped behind the trim to cut through the inner foam layer of the tape/sticky pad using a sawing motion.

If your car is in the affected model/year/VIN range then Honda will replace the part.
Our issue is we refilled the gas and a year later it's gone! We then found out the condenser was split and leaking gas.

Online I see Acura parts with the same part number as the UK Honda Jazz.
Can anyone see any issue with buying a US Acura part for my Jazz?
