Crosstar roof bars on Jazz EX
« on: August 02, 2022, 09:43:46 PM »
Hi guys,

what do you think about installing the Crosstar roof bars on a Jazz EX? I think that it could be possible since the roof of the all models is the same and I guess that under the rubber cover (on the side of the roof) there are the attachments for the bars. I don't think that they are locked from the inside of the car.

Maybe it's possible, but why would you want to do that?
To create more air resistance and wind noise?

Because I'd like to install roof bars to mount an extra luggage and using those bars I can avoid to ruin the chassis with the clamps

Unfortunately not,

digging on Internet it seems that none has made this, for me, improvement: but on the previous version of HR-V there was a kit to install the bars removing the tape at the side of the roof, revealing a couple of screws already integrated in the chassis and using them to fit the bars without any other work.
Probably it could be an idea calling the service, could you do the same thing at your side? So we could compare the replies from different Service Desk.

I suppose it's a shame you didn't opt for the Crosstar.

Before I selected the Jazz I had a list of requirements and the Jazz ticked more boxes and didn't fall below any of my red line requirements.
Let's be careful out there !

I opted for the normal version because the Crosstar hasn't the Bliss option,

and because I like more the lower cars :D
