Checking CVT transmission fluids
« on: March 09, 2018, 09:26:08 PM »
Hi there,
I'm new to this forum and I'm looking at buying a 2011 Jazz with the i-VTEC engine with an automatic CVT transmission. I saw the thread in the FAQ section in regards to changing the CVT fluids every 2 years in these models. Is there a way to check the fluid in these models? Is there a dip stick I can check? Or is the transmission sealed?

It's below the battery and slightly forward. It is hard to reach especially if you have big hands.
It takes quite a pull to get it out and an equally good push to get it back in. Twist it slightly when doing both.

Vic.
