The article isn't clear about whether it's just navigation or the entire system.

"Alibaba will get the opportunity to put its Autonavi mapping services into the Japanese carmaker’s future vehicles, with customers also being able to make online payments via the Chinese tat bazaar’s Alipay platform."

Although what we are supposed to want to pay for is left unanswered.

It's so you can pay the ransoms demand in bitcoins when a hacker has taken control of the car.
