What would you change for the MK4 JAZZ?
« on: December 15, 2017, 01:12:33 PM »
I think I would add another engine maybe the 1.0 civic engine and leather upholstery in black, grey and beige, introduce a Sporty model with Type R style upgrades.

Strictly speaking it's a face lifted mk3 not a MK4.

In Honda's eyes there's nothing up with the Jazz, and as people say if it isn't broke don't fix it.

* Either get rid of the Atkinson cycle or improve the programming on the CVT so that we don't have the pseudo 'turbo lag' at low revs.
* Have another go at producing a decent infotainment unit. Start with a modern version of Android. If the operator chooses not to click the 'Ok' button then at least leave the damn' clock visible.
* LED headlights with main beam shadowing like Mercedes and Audi have.
* Bring back the two tier boot arrangement.
* Bring back the old auto wipers mechanism. It didn't have false positives in cold weather and didn't seem to need frequent speed adjustments.

They should have a hybrid option.

They should have a hybrid option.
There's one now but it's not particularly exciting. To be honest I have kind of said to myself that my next car should have some form of alternative fuel power train. So I'll add my vote along those lines.

Full EV for me!

Totally useless for travelling any distance. OK if you only want a shopping trolley.

I'd like cargo nets in the boot like the MK2, and a radio with buttons instead of a touch screen.

Unless you can afford a Tesla!

Even if you can afford one they can't deliver one.
Some people will only consider you an expert if they agree with your point of view or advice,  when you give them advice they don't like they consider you an idiot

Tesla Model S is readily available in the UK. Loads on 14 day delivery.

If you have £60 to 90 + grand to spare, and still get EV subsidy paid for by taxpayers who maybe can't afford a car, how lovely.....

I actually wanted a model 3 but was quoted 48 months delivery....

I just feel Honda should offer an EV and the Jazz would be the best candidate.
Currently, the likes of BMW, Chevrolet, Citroen, FIAT, Ford, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Peugeot, Renault and Volkswagen feel that an EV in their range is the way to go.
Honda had a short lived foray with the EV when the offered an EV Fit, on lease, in Japan and parts of the US back in 2013-14. Technology, infrastructure and customer base has improved considerably in the interim, and I would like to see them join the marketplace.
