Honda Jazz 2003 Boot light

HI I have just bought a 2003 Jazz for my daughter and the boot light is on all the time only found out when the battery went flat. Is any one aware where the switch is on the boot to turn it off ( bulb removed at this moment ) Thanks

The switch is part of the tailgate latching mechanism.

Remove the trim panel from inside the tailgate/door. 

My service manual doesn't say whether the switch can be seperated from the latching mechansim.
