Does it scream ?
« on: January 03, 2016, 01:55:08 PM »
As the title says, has anyone got enough miles on their new Jazz to make it scream , or is it a different sort of engine ?
One of the best bits about the Mk 2 Jazz is the  (occasional ) scream the engine makes when you rev it to 6000, I just wondered if they kept the pleasurable bits of the IVTEC on the new Jazz.

Haven't heard mine " scream" although I haven't been over 4000 revs let alone 6000.
It "squeaks " sometimes  but that's not through engine revs !
I would be interested to hear other owners views.
To me this is a VERY different engine to the I VTECH 1.2 that I had before.
It's quite a different car. Many of the differences are well documented on here.

Bit difficult to get the CVT to scream.
Will have to try it in s mode and on the paddles when I have a few more miles on the clock.

I don't know about the engine. But if I did 6000 rpm in her car the wife would scream!
