Locking Wheel Nut
« on: December 05, 2008, 02:52:44 PM »

All,

I am looking for the locking wheel nut key for my 2003 Jazz.
Honda advised to look for a reference number for this nut as it is different for all cars.
Unfortunetly I can't find any reference number for this part.

1. Is there a standard set of keys available so that they (Honda Servicing) can get unlock the wheel nut? They wanted to charge me £90 + VAT for drilling it out??!!

2. Is there anywhere I can purchase the locking wheel nut key?

Thanks!!

Imran

Well thats an interesting one! With my Jazz in the locking wheelnuts pack there is a card with number on it, to be used in the event of losing it.

Have a look in all the paperwork and document holder as it might have been placed elsewhere

I don't have it! Alas... I am going to need to find someone to sheer the locking wheel nuts.
£30 was quoted by a local tyre fitter. Might have to resort to this and hope that the alloys are not damaged.

Interstingly, Halfords did not have a new set of locking wheel nuts & key for a 2003 Honda Jazz? Will have to do some more digging.

Maybe worth a try at another more customer friendly Dealer  -they may want to help you, if no go then try a specialist tyre fitting company,- some firms do help motorists.
Good Luck

PS how about a call to your breakdown service provider?
