CD/Radio Head Unit Compatibility
« on: May 03, 2012, 12:01:15 PM »
Hi, newbie, please excuse!

My wife runs a 2003 Jazz with Radio Cassette unit.  Could I replace it with the following without (much) modification?  your help would be most appreciated.

Yes it's possible.
You can remove the cassette player and plug the CD player without any problems.

The harness to conect both is the same, there is no sense for honda (including costs) to change to a special connector just for the cassette.

^^^ that is far cheaper than the one's i've seen on any uk site's. Another option of course is the connet2 adapter. Im running that with my ipod on mine and it's amazing!

I was not happy with the sound quality of that adapter tape... that`s why I fitted a new headunit.

You should try it. It plugs into the aux output for the cd changer....plug and play.

You may also need a PC5-141 aerial adaptor lead for your 2003 car:

The lead appears to be sold by Amazon UK
