Any part replaced under warranty is the property of Honda, so you will be very lucky if you get to keep your old wheels.

Yes the old corroded wheels will be sent by the dealership back to Honda for further examination. Unfortunately you don't get to keep them!

Incidentally, I can't see any signs of possible corrosion on the bodywork, even after 2 hard winters of snow and grit combined with country road mud. Only the wheels affected.

The wheels are more at risk from salt corrosion. Regular washing using car shampoo/alloy wheel cleaner and use of a wheel seal can help prevent it.
